Why take private adult ballet lessons?
Private adult ballet lessons are perfect if you are looking for one-on-one tuition to learn or improve ballet technique. Adult ballet is excellent for improving strength and fitness and private sessions allow this to happen quickly with impressive results.
Who should take private adult ballet lessons?
Everyone can benefit from private sessions. Private adult ballet lessons are ideal:
If you have never done ballet before and want a head start
If you did ballet when you were younger and you want to refresh your knowledge and technique and get back to fitness levels
If you are looking to tone and sculpt your body like a ballerina
If you have specific goals such as losing weight, toning legs and glutes, improving core strength, achieving pirouettes etc.
If you used to dance and are recovering from injury.
If you are (or were) an intermediate or advanced ballet dancer and want to focus on technique or specific areas of ballet
If you are prepping for an audition or exam and would like extra tuition and coaching
How many private sessions will I need?
You can have as many private sessions as you like. You may just want one or two or you may prefer ongoing private tuition to help you improve and reach your goals with exciting results.
If you are unsure, your instructor can help you by discussing this over the phone prior to your first session or during your first private session.
What will a private adult ballet lesson be like?
We’ll speak to you before your first private session to find out what level you are and what you’re looking to achieve. This will help us tailor a personalised lesson plan just for you.
Lessons will always start with a warm-up and barre work. We’ll move into the centre and depending on what the focus of the session is, exercises may be tailored to different areas of the body, technique or style. We may spend longer on some exercises than others and we may spend time helping you to maintain correct positioning, technique and making sure you are benefiting fully from each exercise.
