One-to-one private adult ballet lessons online

private online ballet classes for adults

Learn ballet, improve your technique and get ballet fit with our one-to-one online ballet classes.

Ballet is a beautiful way to keep fit, improve strength and posture and feel good.

It can be hard to know where to start when joining online classes; Which level to choose? Will I be able to keep up? How will the tech work?..

A private online class can take the worry out of exercising via livestream. We use simple technology and we’ll take the class at a pace to suit you. The other big difference is that, unlike a group online class, you can ask questions, repeat exercises and receive focused correction from your instructor. This helps you to improve rapidly and dramatically reduces the risk of any errors in form or building of bad habits.

In each session we will focus on your fitness, technique, body shaping and goals and we’ll speak to you via email or phone before your first private online session to find out about your experience, fitness levels and ballet fitness goals.

You also have the option to receive a recording of your private session once it’s over so you can repeat the class as often as you like. We will only record the class with your consent and will never share with anyone else or publish anywhere public online. Watching a recording of yourself can be uncomfortable but the benefits are huge and being able to repeat the class as often as you like adds increased value to the cost of the session.

PRIVATE SESSION PACKAGES

We offer one-off private online sessions for £45 per hour or packages of six to nine weeks. Each package offers a 10% saving and is designed to enhance your progression, give you a stronger understanding of classical ballet and increase your overall confidence. Once you book a class or package, you will receive a unique booking code which you can use to book your class or classes at times to suit you. SINGLE PRIVATE SESSIONS ONLINE

How do private online sessions work?

Firstly, you’ll need a few things to be able to join a private online session:

  1. A chair or something you can use as a barre (tabletop, counter top etc).

  2. Enough space to lift your leg in front, to the side and behind you. (Move those vases!)

  3. A yoga mat / towel / comfy flooring for mat work and stretching.

  4. A computer or phone you can link to the class through set up in a place you can see clearly.

The tech bit:

We use Zoom for our livestream classes and private sessions. You will receive a calendar invite for the class Hangout and we’ll also send you a link to the class 30-60 mins before it’s due to start with a reminder of the things you’ll need above.

We ask that you leave your microphone and camera turned on for private sessions so that your instructor is able to see and hear you.

If you are asked for a meeting code, it will be the unique code at the end of the meeting link such as abc-defg-hjk.

How long do online private sessions last?

Our one-to-one private online ballet sessions last for 1hr as standard. You are welcome to book two sessions back to back for a 2hr slot.

How much are private online sessions?

Our private online ballet classes are £45 per hour.

How many private online sessions will I need?

The number of sessions you want to have is entirely up to you. Depending on your level, experience and goals, we are happy to provide a recommendation for a number of lessons. We will never recommend a high number of sessions if we don’t think you’ll need them or benefit from them and we never force anyone into booking private sessions week after week. Your money is precious to you and our priority is that you enjoy and feel the benefits of each individual session. Many clients take weekly private sessions but you can have more or less to suit your schedule and lifestyle.

Who should have private ONLINE BALLET LESSONS?

Private sessions are suitable for anyone at any level:

  • If you’ve never tried ballet before and want to get a head start

  • If you are recovering from injury and need a tailored programme to assist recovery

  • If you are an experienced ballerina and want to focus on fitness and flexibility at a level to suit you

  • People who want to plan their exercise in around a busy or irregular schedule

  • People looking for faster, more focused results

  • If you are looking to improve technique and advance your fitness or technique levels with one-on-one tuition

  • If you just don’t enjoy group classes

  • If you did ballet when you were younger and want to get back into good technique and build strength

  • If there are specific areas of ballet you want to focus on improving, for example; technique, strength, flexibility, pirouettes, pointe work, enchaiments etc.

Private online sessions for pointe work

Private sessions are a great place to start if you want to move on to pointe. If you have never done any pointe work before, we can use private sessions to make sure your body and technique are ready before moving onto basic pointe work. If you have experience of pointe work and want to improve, we can build pointe work into each private session and work on strength building, technique and progression.
