Instead, it is a practical, 4-part guide deconstructing common fitness and dance stretches so you can adapt them safely for your own body.

We use blocks for almost all of these techniques because they are tools of leverage. When your hips or hamstrings are tight, forcing your hands to the ground can strain your joints and damage muscles. By placing a block under your hand or hip, you bring the floor up to meet you, protect your body, and finally feel the stretch where you're supposed to.
